A day in the life of the McCauley Family is one of unlimited amounts of smiles, laughs, funny faces, the usual tantrums, and love. The mornings start early in a busy house like this. The kids were ready to go from the minute they woke up. Mom and Dad poured coffee, dished out lego advice, made waffles (as fast as the kids could eat them), and started a normal weekend day. Now it is no secret to any of my clients just how quickly I fall in love with them and this family now has a very special place in my heart. I am always blown away by just how different and how similar all of my gorgeous families are. It doesn’t matter who the parents are, what they do, or what the kids are like. They all have a common thread that sews us all together; that is the struggle to be a parent, to be a child and the love that makes the struggle so much easier to take. The McCauley’s reminded me of this. They reminded me how essential it is to remember to always put each other first and to give as many hugs as possible. I am honored to document a simple, yet beautiful story for them. A day that can be summed up by one crumply little post it note on their refrigerator that read
“There are moments that I know I will long for, even as I live them.”
Thank you Judith Katvitz for those words, thank you Suzanne for putting it on your fridge, and thank you McCauley’s for living those moments and letting me capture them. You are amazing.
It is my pleasure to introduce you to Suzanne, Ryan, Hayden, Owen, and Bennett.
